Stop the press! According to Jim Zemlin a director of the Linux Foundation there is much hope in Windows as is in Linux. Posited that Linux will “out-ship” Windows on the desktop next year, thanks to the many fast-booting Linux environments increasingly bundled with PCs.
According to Jim next year (2009) Linux will be used more often then now, because Microsoft potentially losing the user experience.
